Axicons

Axicons are cone-shaped optics, either convex or concave on one side and Plano on the other.  They are generally used to generate a non-diffractive Bessel beam with a fixed transverse distribution during propagation.  Axicons are typically used in the areas of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), optical tweezers, and laser eye surgery among others.  They can be used with other optics to generate various beam profiles. We also manufacture custom solutions in case one of our many standard lenses do not meet your requirements.
