Diffusers

Optical diffusers are a special type of filter used for dispersing light in a more uniform, Lambertian distribution or a beam shaping diffuser can disperse in one direction and not the orthogonal direction. The basic diffuser is made with a ground glass finish to scatter the light in all directions for illumination or prevent imaging of a filament.  The Beam Shaping Diffuser is a high transmission diffuser and can achieve wide angle diffusion in a single direction.  Beam shaping diffusers are used in light panels and some laser marking systems to create a more uniform beam along a preferred axis.
