Cylindrical Lenses

Cylinder lenses are lenses with a finite radius of curvature in one axis and an infinite radius of curvature in the orthogonal axis.  If you think of a soup can cut in half from top to bottom, that will give you an idea of what a cylinder lens is.  Conventional spherical lens processing equipment cannot be used for manufacturing cylinder lenses and processing time is slower.  Typically, cylinder lenses are Plano on one side, but custom configurations are available. We also manufacture custom solutions in case one of our many standard lenses do not meet your requirements.
