No extra controller or driver is needed to operate these stages. That's because it is built into the stage itself, saving on space and wiring. Up to 99 SBIS stages can be connected together (Daisy Chained) and operated from a single computer. These stepping motor driven stages are ideal for positioning of measuring instrument or inspection tools for which high stiffness and high precision are required.
This motorized stage has a built-in 5-phase stepping motor driver and controller, saving on wiring and space, and can be controlled with simple commands. A maximum of 99 SBIS stages can be controlled by Daisy-Chain connection using our dedicated cables. The Z-axis type SBIS stages are equipped with a non-excitation electromagnetic brake as standard equipment. When the power is turned off, this break works to securely hold the load.

Guide | For the cable that connects SBIS stages together, please purchase separately HR10HR10P-RC-1 (with power cable) or HR10HR10-RC-1 (without power cable). Please purchase D9HR10-RC-2 separately for the cable that connects the host PC and SBIS. The interface is RS232C. For the power supply, please purchase the recommended AC adapter AC-ADP-2433 separately. Power can be supplied for up to 3 axes. After the 4th axis, an additional AC adapter is required for every 3 axes. A manual knob allows stage adjustment when the power is off.
