Optical Bases and Brackets

OptoSigma offers a variety of bases and brackets to mount optical components.  Pedestal bases provide a strong and secure method for mounting mirrors and other sensitive optics. A range of different component holders can be attached to the top of the pedestal by means of a screw.  Magnetic bases provide high holding force and are low profile.  They provide a convenient way to place and quickly remove components that are attached.  A switchable on/off feature allows flexibility in position an optical breadboard or table.  Kinematic bases use three balls which are located against a flat, a cone and a V-groove. This method of mounting ensures stability and repeatability. The lower plate may be attached to a standard breadboard hole pattern and the top plate will accept stages or other mounts. The top plate may be removed and replaced in the same position with high repeatability.
