Ball & Micro Lenses

Ball and Micro Lenses, typically used to refer to lenses less than 1/2" (12.7mm) in size.  OptoSigma offers standard Ball, Plano-Convex, Plano-concave, Bi-concave, and Bi-convex lenses down to 1.5 mm diameters.  Micro Optics are used in a variety of applications, the most common are for the miniaturization of medical devices such as endoscopy and catheters.  Ball lenses are mostly used for coupling optical fibers to laser diodes and other fibers or detectors. We can also provide custom micro-lenses smaller than 1 mm as well as other designs, such as an achromat (doublet).
